outing ableism

outing ableism began with a gesture of care. developed into a performative protest. responded to the rules in place. and reminded me why exploring space through this lens has always and will always matter. it teased the boundaries between advocation and activism, and made an oftenly avoided subject unavoidable. through an artful triptych, i hope to convey to you the process that guided each situated action, reaction, and confrontation. i hope you find this inviting, inventive and inspiring, whilst also acknowledging when the uncomfort is necessary and the outing is irrefutable. the goal is not to victim blame or target a specific group of people but bring awareness to how the customs found quite conventional to most remain unconventional to all.
